Terms of Service

1. The service

VictorsSnap is an iOS application that scans receipts, extracts their details using AI, and submits expense entries to third-party accounting providers (such as Xero and QuickBooks Online) on your behalf. We offer a free tier with usage limits and paid subscription tiers with higher limits and additional features.

2. Your account

You need an account to use VictorsSnap. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials (Apple, Google, or Xero) secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. If you create an account on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed by Apple through your App Store account at the price shown in-app.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Prices may change. We'll notify you before a price change takes effect for your plan; if you disagree, cancel before the change.
• Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If your subscription lapses, your account reverts to the free tier. Local data and submitted transactions are preserved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use VictorsSnap for any unlawful purpose, including tax fraud or submitting fabricated receipts.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or its backend.
• Upload malicious content, attempt to bypass rate limits, or abuse the AI service with content unrelated to legitimate receipt scanning.
• Share your account with others or resell access to the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Your content

Receipts, expense details, and anything else you create in the app are yours. You grant us a limited license to process and transmit this content solely to operate the service — for example, to send a receipt image to the AI for extraction or to post a transaction to your accounting provider. We don't claim any ownership over your content.

6. Third-party services

VictorsSnap connects to third-party services (Xero, QuickBooks, Anthropic, Plaid, Moov, Apple, Google). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We're not responsible for changes, outages, or data handling on those platforms, though we'll make a reasonable effort to keep VictorsSnap compatible with them.

7. AI accuracy

The AI that extracts details from receipts makes mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing every expense before you submit it to your accounting system. VictorsSnap shows you the extracted values on a review screen for that reason. We're not liable for miscategorized expenses, incorrect amounts, or any tax or accounting errors arising from your use of the app.

8. Intellectual property

The VictorsSnap app, service, logo, and name are owned by Remote Angel, LLC. These terms don't grant you any right to our trademarks or copyrights beyond the limited license to use the app for its intended purpose.

9. Warranty disclaimer

VictorsSnap is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remote Angel, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of VictorsSnap. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Remote Angel, LLC from any claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

You can stop using VictorsSnap at any time by deleting the app and asking us to close your account. We can suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these terms. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes arising from these terms or your use of VictorsSnap will be handled in the state or federal courts of Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and — for material changes — notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of VictorsSnap after a change means you accept the updated terms.
